A Drift through the immaterial City

Primitive Antennas

Using home made antennas I am continuing my research into the vast infrastructure of communications equipment that have been constructed across urban and rural spaces to form the back bone of the immaterial economy. Structures as important as the iron bridges and railways were to the industrial revolution but which form an invisible geography, an electro-magnetic architecture of transmission and reception.

Electro-Magnetic Architecture

I drift through the quotidian transmissions in the hope of finding a moment, a few bars, of spontaneously generated sonic resonance.
